Clinical Staff


Ben Deppen, PT, DPT, OCS, ATC, CSCS
Regional Director - Direct Access Certified

Ben obtained his Bachelor of Athletic Training from The Pennsylvania State University, followed by a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Drexel University in 2015. He gained outpatient, orthopedic experience with an ETS affiliate group in South Carolina before returning home to Pennsylvania to launch two new clinics in the Allentown and Easton areas. Ben joins Advantage ITC as Regional Director, overseeing ETS therapy clinics in York and Chester counties! Ben's passion for health and rehabilitation started early following a spinal cord injury in high school causing him to step away from his contact sports, but gave him an opportunity to observe and assist the Athletic Trainer. He believes in empowering others, and encourages life-long learning.

In 2019, he enrolled in the Manual Therapy Institute to pursue a Fellowship with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT). This is the highest level of education in orthopaedic manual physical therapy that consists of two and a half years post-graduation training and 440 hours of one-on-one fellowship training.

 


Jess Spero, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist

Jessica received her Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from the University of Pittsburgh and her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. She has experience with stroke, trauma and cardiac patients. In her free time, she likes to quilt and spend time visiting facilities with her therapy dog.

 

 

 

 


Ryan Starner, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist

Ryan received his Bachelor’s degree from the Pennsylvania State University in 2017 and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA in 2019. Ryan, a native of New Oxford, PA developed a passion for physical therapy as a result of participating in PT to rehabilitate following injuries sustained as an athlete in high school. He believes every individual has the right to an active life and is passionate about empowering others to achieve their goals. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, sports, and leading an active lifestyle through hobbies such as weightlifting, hiking, hunting, and golfing.

 

 


Ian Steele, MSPT, BSHS
Physical Therapist

Ian received his Master's of Science degree in Physical Therapy and Bachelor's of Science in Health Science from Misericordia University in 2008. He started his career in outpatient orthopedics and was a center manager for an outpatient clinic for several years. Ian also worked in home health as a program manager providing programming to senior living residents and providing home health physical therapy services. He is currently a part-time faculty member at The Pennsylvania State University Mont Alto Campus where he teaches the lecture portion of Therapeutic Exercise I and II for PTA students. Ian is a clinical instructor for both PT and PTA students as well as a big believer in continuing education and he looks forward to those opportunities here with Advantage. Ian has a "way too gorgeous to be with him" wife and two beautiful daughters. In his free time, Ian is usually playing with his kids or working on something to improve their house. Ian enjoys playing sports of all kinds, traveling, learning new things, karaoke, food, and trying different kinds of beer. He is a fun-loving guy and enjoys helping people get better physically and also feel better through laughter.

 


Katrina Cook, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant

Katrina found her passion for physical therapy after watching her grandfather go through PT for his MS. Upon graduation from Penn State Mont Alto 2013, Katrina began working at Advantage and has been on staff ever since. She loves interacting with people, problem solving and seeing her patients reach their goals everyday. Katrina also enjoys working with students and watching them grow to become successful therapists. In 2015, Katrina married her husband and they reside in Shiloh with their spunky sheltie, Ruby. In her spare time, Katrina enjoys running 5ks, working out, and figure skating.

 

 


Paige Harget, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant

Paige has worked as a PTA in an outpatient setting for 7 years after graduating from Penn State. She loves working in her hometown of New Oxford and enjoys giving back to the community.  Paige enjoys rehabbing patients, whether it be returning to work, sport or everyday activities. She has a specific interest in working with the pediatric and adolescent population as it allows her to be creative and find exercises that are tailored to their needs. Paige has three kids who keep her busy with their extra-curricular activities. In her free time, she loves being outside and playing with her kids as well as reading. Paige loves Penn State football and looks forward to every occasion and holiday that she can celebrate.

 

 


Rachel Nace, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant

Rachel graduated from Central Pennsylvania College in 2000. She has been practicing for almost 20 years and has been with Advantage for over 12 years. Rachel chose a career in physical therapy because she is a people person and has always been drawn to health care and helping others. She enjoys working with post-op patients and athletes of all ages. Rachel is married with 2 teenage children and one very spoiled chocolate lab. In her free time, she is usually traveling around to watch her kids play baseball and softball. Rachel also enjoys shopping, vacationing and lounging in her PJs whenever she gets the chance to just be at home.

 

 

 


Felicia Vaughn
Marketing Representative

Felicia studied communications at Harrisburg Area Community College and Lock Haven University. With 8 years of clinical experience, she is excited to use that knowledge creatively in our marketing efforts. Outside of the clinic, you'll find Felicia behind the mic hosting live trivia in the Harrisburg area. In her free time, Felicia is either crafting, doing yoga, kayaking, or snuggling her two Persian cats.

 

 

 


Liz Lackner
Patient Representative

Liz was born and raised in York and have worked in the healthcare field for 20+ years. She became part of the Advantage family in 2008 and has experience working in Front Desk, Business Operations, Compliance, HR, and Leadership. She is also a member of POMAY (Pennsylvania Office Managers Association of York).

When she's not in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with family and friends – laughing and making people laugh. Liz loves music and dancing (she's never met a dance floor she didn’t like, and heaven help the person that tries to pull her off of it!). She loves going down to the shore (Cape May, NJ to be exact) and being near the water. And last, but not least, she is a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles Fan – “Fly Eagles Fly”!!
